• I am the Tsun-Ming Shih Professor of Computer Sciences in the School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
• I am the director of The Center for Trustworthy Machine Learning (CTML), an NSF funded Frontier project.
• I am a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
• I am a fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
• I am a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
• I was the William L. Weiss Professor of Information and Communications Technology in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Pennsylvania State University from 2017 to 2022.
• I was the Program Manager (PM) and lead scientist for the Cyber Security (CS) Collaborative Research Alliance (CRA) from 2013 to 2018.
• I was the Director of the Institute for Networking and Security Research (INSR) from 2016 to 2022.
• I received the ACM SIGOPS Hall of Fame Award in 2020 and and the ACM SIGSAC Outstanding Innovation Award in 2021 for my research in systems and security, respectively.
• I was the founding co-director of the Systems and Internet Infrastructure Security Laboratory.
• I was the Chair of the IEEE Computer Society's Technical Committee on Security and Privacy from January 2014 to December 2015.
• I was the co-chair of the 2007 and 2008 IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy.

• I was the chair of the 2005 USENIX Security Symposium.
• I am an alumnus of the Secure Systems Group at AT&T Research.
• I received my PhD from the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at the University of Michigan in December of 2001.
